it's a rare day indeed when sk memorabilia is offered for sale here in new zealand, so when the items below went up on an online auction site recently it even made the papers.
the seller claims the letter was sent to him personally in 2011 and that the pic is hand signed.
i'm pretty much an ignoramus about such things, but there has been some speculation about their authenticity and one skeptic has mentioned that manson usually writes in cursive - is this correct?
anyway, i'm curious to hear the opinion of someone more knowledgable on such things.
....and it must be said that my faith in the seller was greatly reduced when i looked up another item he was selling - a pair of glasses worn on death row by "bonny joe long"

oh, and should you have the chance to, perhaps you might inquire as to the value if real - it has reached reserve at nz$70 (nz$1 = us80c)
have since done some checking of my own online but can't find anything that looks the example i posted above. in the one instance i found where a bonafide example used caps it was only for the signing off as 'EASY', and both the 'E' and the 'Y' look totally different. then again, like i said, i'm no expert....
The person I originally asked, who knows more about manson than anybody I know, says it's legit...here's his reply...
"Yeah this is Authentic its in Cursive as well it says Manson with a swastica. Below it a drawn out Man and beside it a circle that represents the sun with a swastica in it...aka Man Sun. Its him."
I also searched the username for that seller, "nibnz" and found some of his other old auctions selling Herb Mullin art that was legit.
I was actually recently looking for an autographed photo of Manson, I'll definitely be looking into this if nobody has already bought it.
I have a 7pg letter written by Manson with the envelope, and he talks about ATWA and admits to setting his school on fire when he was 9yrs old, pretty cool stuff...also have a postcard by Manson. Im always looking for new stuff, willing to sell or trade wither of these items.
No. But I don't think that thread exists anymore. It should be under "crime in the news". It was a thread naggy originally started I think, or at least contributed to a lot.
