So Charles Manson everyone seems so quick to say that he is a Serial Killer but in my personal opinion he is not. Now he is a manipulator i'll give him that and a car thief but a serial killer he is not. Your thoughts on this subject??

The Manson killings would come closest to a killing spree. They were multiple killings that took place in a short period of time, so there was no emotional cooling-off period. In some ways they were mission killers, they had a mission, and this mission led to a killing spree.
Manson had all of earmarks of a cult leader. He isolated his family members, brainwashed them, controlled them. Classic cult.

Charlie says that he has never killed anyone. He has been involved in several killings, he shot a "black panther" (who survived), and knows probably where shorty disappeared etc. But it's the media that portrays him as a serial killer / mass murderer. |

There are several different degrees of "brainwashing" just like there are different degrees for how easily you can be hypnotized (6 if I remember right)
Some can be easily manipulated while others are strong individuals.
Charlie didn't manage to brainwash everyone, neither did Hitler. Some people just feel more comfortable with someone else in control of their lives.
And f.ex. Lynette Fromme seems like a girl who could never be brainwashed even she is probably the most dedicated member of the family.... |
